Cost Accountant- West Africa

Our client is currently seeking 3 cost accountants for their operations in West Africa
Responsibilities:
- Prepare reports and cost analyses
- Assist in the timely preparation and review of financial statements
- Monitor actual performance versus planned, evaluate results, and suggest appropriate action
- Recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies
- Variance analysis
- Develop forecast for areas within responsibility
- Assist in the development of budgets; deploy budget concepts to cost accounting systems
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification/s
- At least 5 years’ experience in cost accounting within the mining industry
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and cost control
- Advanced experience and skills associated with performing assigned Finance functions that are of a diverse nature
- A professional designation is preferred
