CA Global: Africa Positions has a client that is in need of an Overhead Transmission Technician. The position is based in South Africa.
Overview:
- Responsible for the construction, maintenance and installation of high voltage transmission, catenary and signal transmission systems
- Relocate away from existing lines, shift poles requiring new foundations, install anchors and foundations, shift under traffic, move poles with wires attached, splice existing appurtenances, and install new foundations and certain designated power lines and signal transmission systems
Requirements:
Education : University degree or diploma/certificate from recognized institution
Soft skills : Must be PR eng registered
Experience : 10 - 15 years plus
