My client is looking to fill the following vacancy at their underground mine in West Africa
SENIOR MINE ENGINEER (Short Term Planning)
Responsibilities
· Bulk Mine Designs – Longhole Open Stoping
· Development Designs
· Mine Design/Planning Software – AutoCAD/Promine or SURPAC or Mine24D
· Training Staff
· Writing Up Mine Standards
· Determining Bills Of Materials
· Contract Administration and Reporting
· Projects
· Experience of Working at Different Sites
· Expatriate Experience Preferred (especially Africa or hot climates)
Requirements:
· 10 to 15 years (hard rock mining, including minimum 5 years engineering)
· Survey and Ventilation Experience (preferred)
· BSc/BEng or HND Mining (possibly Mine Surveying)
· Professional Engineer or Certified Technologist or Equivalent
· Proficient in Mine Planning/Design Software
· Mine Survey (Cavity Monitor Survey) or Mine Ventilation Qualifications/Experience (preferred)
· Basic French Language (or Willing to Learn)
Contract:
· EXPAT – FIFO 7/3 roster
· 12 month contract
